Senior sports portraits don’t happen in a quiet studio.
They happen on gym floors under championship banners, with teammates watching, and parents soaking in every second.
In one of these moments, a mom quietly pulled out her phone—not to photograph her child—but to photograph me photographing her child. And that stopped me cold.
Because this isn’t just about lights, ladders, or laying on a hardwood floor to get the shot.
It’s about capturing a milestone that families don’t want to forget.
It’s about seniors standing a little taller, realizing this season—this chapter—is almost over.
These behind-the-scenes moments remind me why I do this.
The experience matters just as much as the image that ends up on the wall.
